What's New at Extra Innings

In May of 2007, Extra Innings Middleton hosted the Inaugural Extra Innings/Jimmy Fund Golf Classic. The key to any well run golf tournament is organization and keeping the day on the course on schedule. We could not have pulled this off without the help of the Wakefield High School Baseball Team. This team donated their entire day assisting hundreds of golfers with everything from registration, to directing course traffic to tracking down stray golf shots in the woods (and there were quite a few). This team’s efforts were crucial in our having a well organized day and providing all our golfers with a pleasant experience to help ensure they will be back for years to come. Because of the sacrifice of this generous team of volunteers we were able to raise $45,000 in our first year and we are already filling up spots for our 2008 event. We commend Coach Dennis Bisso and the entire 2007 Wakefield High School team for their unselfish dedication to the fight against cancer.
